Singers Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes have split up after two years of dating, putting the split rumours to rest.

The former couple shared a joint statement on their Instagram stories respectively, thanking fans for their support and that they will continue to be best friends despite parting ways.

“Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever.

“We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward.”

The pair had been friends long before they became romantically involved in 2019, shortly after collaborating for a song called Senorita.
